Spring practice starts Feb. 29th. They went to a new format last year, dividing the roster into two teams (P & W) and played four, 15-minute quarters instead of a controlled scimmage. The winning team got steak dinners and the losers had hot dogs. Joseph Addai and Anthony McFarland coached the White squad with Kevin Faulk, Marquise Hill, Eric Alexander and Randall Gay had the Purple team. Not sure what the plans are for this year.
ESPN says our spring game is April 5 ... Here is an article, and some analysis on each SEC team. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3257660 :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
The game is set for April 5th @ 5pm. I dont remember LSU ever having such a late start time to the Spring game. I think more will show up at this time than in years past in the blistering heat.
Wonder why LSU doesn't promote the game more. I remember one year when Dinardo really promoted the game, I think they drew (somebody help me) 40,000+. I've been to a few though, and everyone was notoriously boring.
