Brooks Kubena @BKubena Max Johnson says he noticed more motions, more shifts, more empty packages in the #LSU offense under Jake Peetz: "I think we're going to score a lot of points." 1:25 PM · Mar 25, 2021·Twitter Web App
There's really going to be a log jam with Walker Howard added to the mix. Not sure how that's all going to work out, but I don't want to lose Max or Nuss. And if Max ends up beating out Myles, I'll feel bad for him, too.
Agree but right now my gut says Max will be the starter and we could lose Myles and TJ. Myles because he’s only got a year and TJ because he’ll be buried
i think myles stays no matter what. my $$ on leaving is TJ. Nuss gives it a year to see how the wind blows.....
I think if the competition goes all the way right before the season Max and Myles stay as there's no guarantee either will stay healthy the whole year. TJ already was contemplating a transfer last year so I think his time here is short if he's not gonna see the field. Think Nuss is fine sitting and learning and developing. Ideally you want to have your incoming freshman sit two years but at least a year when he comes in. If Myles starts this year then Max the next one or two before going pro then you have Nuss or Walker competing to start. And so on. We're only gonna take Walker.
I'm trying to recall. He came in 2017 and played a a freshman. I believe he redshirted in 2018 as a sophomore. Then he played sparingly in 19 as a redshirt sophomore in the title year. Then in 2020 it was considered a free year as a redshirt junior. So he's currently a redshirt junior and should have 2 years to play, right? He won't though I think if he starts he'll go to the league after. Crazy though since this is his fifth year and he could be here six if he wanted.
