    Foolish me. I caught the end of the Sports Reporters this morning on ESPN. I normally don't watch this trash but since we had just won the NC I figured I'd watch to see if any crow was being had for brunch. Well sure enough Michigan man Mitch Albom's closing thoughts on the college football season were led off by what I consider his envy of LSU and CLM. He was referencing coaching moves and stated that Les Miles used the Michigan job as leverage to get a fat new contract at LSU. He spewed out some trash about coaches integrity or lack there of . Funny how he can question anyone's integrity with a straight face. So instead of congratulating the new NC he showed lack of class and his apparent dislike of CLM due to him turning down almighty Michigan. Did anyone else have the displeasure of seeing this?

    He obviously doesn't know our coach, and doesn't know- or want to admit- that Miles told them to stick it in their collective asses- don't let him worry you.

    Yea...Miles so-called leverage was nothing until he won the NCG. Freaking moron can't even open a newspaper to get his facts straight.

    So let me get this straight. A coach that actually turns down a veritable dream job to be loyal to his current progrram is somehow now considered to be lacking integrity?

    I think that Albom is just lacking intelligence.

    I agree, that's the only possible conclusion that could be made in this. Some of these guys are just amazing the way they try and spin things...

    Geez guys, you can't expect these sportswriters to remember their lines, spend three hours in makeup, fly cross country on corporate tabs, not to mention having to write like, 250 words a week, to have time to develop real opinions that are weighted by common sense. I mean, they work WAY harder than any of us, and they have to deal with sitting in the press box, being waited on hand and foot, getting backstage passes any of us would give limbs for. In addition to the grueling schedule that someone as in demand as Albom no doubt has to face every day...

    :nope:

    Idiot.

    Right. The Les Miles to Michigan thing had absolutely nothing to do with the media, huh Mitch?:insane: It was all Miles trying to get a fat new contract. What a bone head this guy is.

    I saw it. He put Coach Miles in the same category as Rich Rodriguez ("who abondoned his team right after losing to Pitt") and Bobby Petrino ("who left the Falcons in the middle of the season").

    I'm getting tired of the bashing of Miles in the media. I've never seen a coach get harrassed so much for NOT taking a job!

    obviously.

    from what i remember reading, the contract extension was basically the same contract. the big raise came from winning the ncg, not from just staying at lsu.

    albom = douche.
