I did, good job by Sam. Good to see some of the older players with their input.

I just got a ping on my phone that Tatum Bell is about to make a statement.

Funny, some of the names given in the report have died, can't defend themselves. Then there was the guy who was dismissed from the team talking this morning, about the no good SOB doing the si report and what he did trying to get a story from him.

Too bad Boone didn't use some of that billionaire money to smack Gundy upside his thick head when he all but conceded his spot in the NCG to Nick in the media.

Oh, FYI, if OBJ shows up with a new car, its because OBS is a car salesman down in New Orleans.

I still call OBS the second best LSU player to come out of Marshall, Tx.

Didn't say there was anything wrong with that. I work in online advertising and have since 2000.

I have not read the story yet (damn work interfering with my football chatting). But my hunch is that the story will be short on specifics, lots of well written 'he said/she said' stuff to make it seem like there is evidence, and has been hyped up to get enough interest to ensure that the gateway ad drops a few coins in their coffers from each reader.

I've got no issue with them trying to recoup lost subscription revenue from online advertising dollars.

What I have an issue with is the trend of focus groups driving journalistic content.

From what I have heard so far the story is almost total bullshit. The problem is it starts with Miles/Porter and then Porter follows Miles to LSU for 3 or 4 years. I'd bet the snoops are already looking around Baton Rouge because even with okie lites rise to somewhat prominence they are still just a small fish in a big pond. LSU is the proverbial 5lb bass that they are looking for. I'm not saying they will get anything, just that they will sniff around.

I sure hope this doesn't bring attn to Miles and LSU. I'm sure this stuff goes on to some degree everywhere. Some more than others and i'm sure it is in the NCAA's best interest to not go after some of this stuff whole heartedly. But I'm also not crazy about SI and I don't trust them to sell the absolute truth.

So are we now at the point where SI just comes out with a story and therefore dictates where the NCAA investigates? If I'm the NCAA, I'd tell them to fuck off and let me do my own damn job.
