Wow. Where to begin? Even if the score after the first ND possession was 7-7 (not at all a given, seeing that the play in question happened 67 yards from the goal line, but let's go with it), how does that change what happened later? The Red Tide went on scoring drives of 61, 80, 71 and 97 yards before the midget men got into the end zone. An early TD by ND was going to change how the green defense was getting pushed around? It was going to change Teo's deer in headlights eyes? All it would have changed was the final score, which would have been 42-21 instead of 42-14.
