Nut-jobs. If the shoe fits, wear it. Seriously, just watching the tube from my comfy seat on my living room couch, I got a much different vibe coming out of Tiger Stadium for this game than the infamous early-season grind-it-outs where the crowd was flat until they finally had one more incompletion or three-and-out then they could stand and the boos rained down. People say "Saban doesn't matter. We're over Saban. Our discontent with Miles has nothing to do with Saban." Then why did Tiger Stadium only really act like Tiger Stadium and get behind our team for the ninth frickin' game of the season? Please. Spare me. Save it. To the "nut-job" wing of our fanbase, this was the only game on the schedule that mattered. They should all be equally important, but they are not, and we all know it. And I'm honestly not sure how they feel, I'd love it if they'd come on in and tell us. Lose, like we were expected to and "should have," it just confirms the inadequacy of Miles and we're one step closer to being rid of him. But, (shudder), we won. We won! Is the spell finally broken? Now that the ledger says "Saban 2, Miles 2" can we finally come off of it? Oh yeah, he beat Urban Meyer too. Saban Worshippers? Miles bashers? Where ya at?

As long as Saban is coaching in the SEC and having success, much less at a hated division rival, whoever is the HC of LSU will be compared to Saban, as well as his head-to-head record. It's happening with Les, and it will happen to the next LSU HC as long as Saban is there (and he's not going anywhere until Bama runs him out of T-town.) I don't know if the crowd reaction was strictly because it was Bama. The TS crowd was dead as a doorknob in the 1st half when we got the same old, same old Gary Crowton show on offense. The mood changed drastically after the JJ-Randle 75 yd bomb. People began to realize that LSU really was in the game and had a real shot at winning, because finally some offense had shown up. The feeling in the student section was just electric from that point onward. In a game where Peterson really, really struggled in coverage and on returns, we needed players to make plays on offense, and we got that in spades today.
Got back from the game....ate...fell asleep...and just woke up.....deleriously happy. Shorty Saban now knows how Derek Dooley feels because he flat out got out coached by Les Miles !!! I expected Bama to come out flat because of all their AU/Cam Newton talk all week and they didn't...they came to play and Those Bama players played their hearts out. Bama got beat....period...end of argument. Miles had his team prepared. Miles had a great game plan. Miles made halftime adjustments that resulted in something like 300 second half yards and a complete reversal of time of possesion. Miles' trick play calls were perfectly set up by the prior play calling. Miles recognized Bama's offensive and defensive weaknesses and he exploited them. Miles out coached Saban in every possible way !!! As for the Miles haters, they will not admit that because they would be admitting that they were wrong...and their Miles hatred is based on their own self centeredness and distorted self image. They're real busy right now beating their LSU jersey covered chests feeling pumped up because LSU is a winner. They're feeling pretty superior to Alabama fans at the moment. They're saying "I'm number one...I'm a tiger fan...look at me. I bleed purple and gold....I am a winner". pointing out our teams flaws and short-comings and discussing problems is fine. there are a lot of poeple here who, especially early in the season, just wanted to see better play or better playcalling. hell even last night i was back to cursing the "o" word. its ok to be want clock management to be cleaner. that is called discussion and i have no problem with that. but... to those who cannot discuss without nasty deriding comments and in the same breath praising our former coach, its time to let him go and move on. and take his dick out of your mouth where its been so far down your throat, i dont know how you've managed to breathe. and yes, steve, you heard me say it last night after the game. i was deliriously happy because i really wanted THIS win for the team, and for coach miles. if he moves on, i want it to be with that monkey off his back. that is all.
hey bro - what a birthday it was!! I feel like I am 18 this morning instead of 58! I just got through reading how RS is not as fast as he should be and Les is eating grass.
