Sport Illustrated's Post-Spring Practice Top-25 is out. Tigers, Trojans, Tide, Ducks, Sooners. About what you'd expect for a Top-5. LSU only has to beat five Top-25 opponents this year.
Bama lost way too many playmakers to merit a #3 spot. I'm also stunned USC didn't grab #1 the way the sports media has been virtually orgasmic over Barkley.
Primed to watch alleged #4 Oregon woop ass on alleged #2 USC. (I love being able to juxtapose "#2" and "USC".)
I want #1 Preseason to #1 Postseason. Not done very often, and we have the power and respect to do it this year.
If we don't go undefeated with the returning talent and schedule this year, then it's probably never going to happen.
Arkansas in Fayetteville will be just as tough of a test as the gumps in Baton Rouge. Schedule is weak this year, so the preseason rankings will help out a lot.
USC, will always find a way to underwhelm, when you least expect it. Trojans will kiffin one away, to one of the Pac sisters of the poor (remember a 21 point beat down by the great Arizona St.) and the Ducks and the hybrid spread just befuddles Monte's D. I see LSU as a solid top 5, especially with an OOC schedule that is way beyond favorable and the trip to R-kansas just not that scary anymore. It's all about Mett-life. and much like Bama, better keep the kid's jersey clean. Alabama is worthy of top 5 consideration. Bama brings the best offensive line back in college football, with a plethora of running backs and a MVP QB at the helm and an ever improving and fast corp of receivers. I expect an aerial attack that reflects the need to score early, as a young D gets their sea legs under them.
