If you were doing it hypothetically, would you have flew past it, circled around it 360 degrees and crashed into the side you passed 45 minutes previous?

Maybe if I was trying to work up the nerve to go through with it knowing it was going to kill me.

Geez, how hard is this to get? The plane had been flying for a half hour before being hijacked over West Virginia. The hijacker turned it around and headed back toward Washington. These guys are not the best navigators in the world, OK? Or the best pilots for that matter. His flight was too fast and irregular and it got the attention of traffic controllers. With me so far?

Another half hour has passed and the plane is nearing Washington. The pilot is now flying really low and way too fast for that airspace and he headed towards the Mall because his target was the White House. That was why he flew past the Pentagon, OK? Got that?

The White House is small and hard to see behind all of those trees and he could not locate it. So he circled back around to hit the Pentagon which is too big to mistake for anything else. He was traveling too low and too fast to make a tight turn without crashing, so he made a wide turn and hit the Pentagon on the West side after straightening up at the last second and accelerating to top speed.

Are you assuming this Red? Because there is no possible way you could know this unless you talked to them (the terrorist) I'm not saying I disagree, I'm making a point because you know, you don't have ALL the evidence. ;)

You know that I have enough, Festus. There has been quite a lot written about it. About the only controversy is whether he was trying hit the White House, as intelligence officials have stated, or if he was just traveling too fast and had to make a difficult high-speed descending turn to make another pass at the Pentagon. Khalid Sheik Mohamed said that he didn't hit the Capitol because that was Flight 93's target.

No, it is a simple matter of omniscience.

Shit I'm glad someone else sees this. So they were trying for the White House, they turn now they are headed west facing the east side. Why not run the plane into the east side of the building. At first anyone can fly these things because all you need is a simulator but now all the sudden these things are hard to fly.
