Is there anything that this guy can't do? This year alone, we've seen him truck over dudes, run around them, run by them, block them (effectively), catch passes, and throw a pass. If I had one complaint about our offense lately (meaning the last 2 games, in which it's been stellar), it'd be that he didn't get enough touches, particularly late in the game when the opposing defense is wearing down.

Honestly, I don't recall ever seeing a running back who lowers his head as far as #11 does just to put the hurt on whoever has the never to tackle him. It's a beautiful instinct.

And his TD catch on Saturday night was jaw-dropping (as was the pass from Mett). That's as good of a catch as you'll ever see an RB make.

    Man-crush.

He is hell when he is 100%. Guy runs with a battering ram attitude and great hands to boot. If he can stay healthy he will have a good future in the NFL as a Faulk / Addai type player.

Forgot to add to his list of duties this year: taken snaps at QB.

His is the type of talent that gets Heisman talk. They love versatility. I just doubt if he'd ever get the number of touches required for serious consideration in our system.

Great thread. I almost started a thread on this Sunday. After I realized just who it was making that diving catch at the end of his fingers I thought, WOW. That would be a great catch for a receiver, much less a Rb/QB/

My son and I often joke about him having a LB mentality. There can be one guy between him and the goal line and he will seek that guy out and put the hurt on him. I really like the guy, he is prob. my favorite of all the backs.

He was also an emotional leader of the team when we watched him at the Arkansas game last year; from the bench, between series, etc, he had lots of interaction with the crowd behind him.

I have never seen a tailback run as violently as Spencer Ware, he is an animal.

Exactly. When John Madden talks about the difference betwen a "football player" and a "guy who plays football", Spencer Ware is the complete embodiment of the former. Dude is an absolute psycho. He might one day be the first running back flagged for a helmet-to-helmet hit.

He is one guy that learned from his mistake and came back with a vengeance. He looks slimmer and you can tell he put in a lot of work in the offseason after Hilliard took most of the snaps at the end of last year. He put himself back in the mix and his hard work is showing.

Something just occurred to me. Spencer Ware may very well be the only guy in LSU history to run for a TD, throw for a TD, and catch a TD pass.
