I can't recall who it was but one of the commentators said the pick 6 wan't Manning's fault and that Reggie Wayne was at fault. Sorry Peyton's a good QB but he ain't perfect and that int is on him. He was clearly frustated, the Saints were'nt giving him anything over the top it was mostly underneath stuff. The pick 6 was way behind Wayne and Porter made a good play on the ball. Play of the game IMHO !

i thought for sure they were going to blame it on the new balls they were alluding to earlier in the broadcast. i mean how can the great peyton manning make a mistake, it must have been Wayne or the balls, or something, maybe Tom Moore.

cris carter. said never ever can a wr let the db beat him to the spot. should have grabbed him. also said he was a little sloppy, but that really it was a great play by porter. looked like manning threw it to the right spot.

they did not lose because of manning. it was special teams and that great play by porter.

and really thats all i heard anyone say. great play by porter.

I felt good every time the announcers, pundits, talking heads could only speak well about Manning and the Colts...I always thought "Good. We got them right where we want them !!"

Keep it up National media. Someone ought to make a highlight tape of all their comments so the nation will be reminded of what they said !!!

The key interception was a nice closure for the Saints' great season; that pretty much signifies what the Saints defense had been doing the whole season. Of course, the pundits think Manning is perfect and won't throw a pick. But that was heck of a read and play by Porter; and the coaching staff prepared them really well. They had studied the films on the bread and butter plays by the Colts very well before the game.

I nominate Skip Bayless for jackass of the decade. Today on First Take.....
    1. He actually said,"the Colts lost the game, the Saints didn't win it." He then went on to chide Manning for failing to play with infallibility, never once offering the possibility that maybe the Saints defense had something to do with it.

    2. He also dismissed Drew Brees' MVP performance, pointing out that the Colts best pass rusher and one of their cornerbacks were playing hurt. I don't recall him pointing out the Saints' injury problems when they lost to the Cowboys. No, at that time, he crawled up Demarcus Ware's leg and made himself comfortable on his crotch. Right up until early last week, he was proclaiming that the Cowboys had "given the league the blueprint for beating the Saints."

    3. Quote: "I don't know that I would put Rickey Jackson in the Hall of Very Good, much less the Hall of Fame."

My favorite part is when they said they shouldn't be rushing Manning because that's how he beat the Jets. Then The Interception. These guys must love crow.
