All the focus by the pundits on the annointed Manning really helped the Saints maintain their focus and resolve. It is just amazing they hardly talked about Brees. The best comment was from Coach Dungy who said the score wasn't even going to be close. Great to be an underdog. Noticed that Manning was cool in the 1st quarter; but started losing it in the 2nd half with irate gestures after being "benched" for most of the 2nd quarter; with the Saints settling in and playing better and better. Maybe the hype for them had a more negative effect when things started not looking as easy. Now the pundits have to start plucking feathers and eating crow:rofl:
Well based on the pundits, there was absolutely no way Peyton Manning could lose this game. He was just playing at a supposedly high level that the meager Saints defense could do nothing about.
the pundits have sured changed their tune...now its like, of course the Saints were gonna win this game...it's laughable
at least one of them on TV (the ex football player sitting to the right of Steve Young) did admit that he now believes the Saints after what he had seen today....
The Saints were on a mission. That was what I saw in our players' eyes.... all of 'em. They were focused and determined to win this game. The players, coaches...all of 'em. I told people for 2 weeks that this will probably be a great game. 2 great teams that are almost identical. Both teams started the season 13-0, and were the best in their conference the whole season....etc.... And when 80% of the pundits starting picking the Colts, at first I was mad. i felt like the Saints weren't getting enough respect.....Then I was like....... HERE WE GO!!! Saintslogo
