That the rules committee will undoubtedly fix, but not in time to benefit us at all.

It was helmet to helmet but legal helmet to helmet because he was not a defenseless receiver or a quarterback. You know, the guys who make the really big money, and put people in the seats. Gotta protect them at all costs, screw everyone else.

Just to further illustrate my point, I saw a stat on the NFL Network today that showed the Saints were tied for 2nd for the least amount of sacks given up. The team that allowed the fewest sacks, the Buffalo Bills, also threw the ball 84 less times then the Saints. The Saints also led the NFL allowing the fewest QB hits. Not bad for a team that passed 662 times. You don't throw for 5k+ if your O-line sucks. That's why I think that signing Nicks is more important than Colston. (I never would have said this a year ago. I thought Nicks had a piss poor season last year. Funny how a contract year can motivate you to play at a high level)

Hell yeah, great point. I'd concentrate on protecting your franchise quarterback than any receiver. No matter how good your receiving corp is, if your QB is always on his back he can't do jack, just ask Sam Bradford. They'd better use that 2nd pick on a lineman.

Exactly. Spot on. I was watching the game with my brother and said it when it happened that it was helment to helment but others have said it did not fit the rule, whatever that means. At any rate, we score on that drive, regardless of the rest of the turnovers, the complexion changes and we go on to win.

    Coulda, shoulda, woulda.

I sure hope we have that long.

It's definitely an exciting time to be a Saints fan.

    That's what I am expecting.

He'll be 38 in the 6th year of that contract.

    That sounds about right.

He needs to play 7 more seasons to break the NFL passing yardage record as well as completions and most likely touchdowns. He'll need to play 8 more seasons to break Favre's record of passing attempts.
