Not sure how my statement makes me seem dense, since I indicated that I was smart enough to look at the field and figure it out... Just saying that if they bother to have the football icon on every other scoreboard in the stadium, why not on that one? Either have it on ALL of them or NONE of them, and for it to be absent on the largest and most expensive one in the stadium seems a bit odd.
The scoreboard is entirely down now, including the large pylons that held it up. They are being cut up into chunks for hauling away. And the pile driver is working again . . .
The pile drivers seem to have finished. Now two large overhead cranes are being assembled so I suppose we will see the superstructure start to go up soon.
I was at a 2A basketball playoff game at Prosper HS north of Dallas the other nite, they had 4 jumbotrons on their scoreboard in the gym that looked larger than the one in the south endzone. Past time for that piece of junk to geaux!
Then Coca-Cola must be pumping a hell of a lot of money into the AD if LSU won't even consider renegotiating their contract for that mammoth eyesore taking up 1/3 of the scoreboard.
