No doubt. Red hit the nail on the head earlier when he said it was all political. The illegal, who waved a Mexican flag at her graduation, after a free ride from us, is of no news. lol

I agree. I was thinking this could activate some cells and we could see more random killings, black churches set on fire, etc.

It just makes no sense. I mean did this guy think he was going to be a hero because he gunned down some of the easiest targets possible? People worshiping in sanctuary. One person said he even tried to off himself but he ran out of bullets or the gun jammed. Must've not been a Sig.

If this fuckstick's reason for doing this is because he said black men are raping white women, I have a feeling that when he is thrown in Genpop, he'll know what it's like to raped by a black man, and a white man, and a Mexican man.

If Watson could play tight end as well as he expresses himself I we wouldn't be worried about losing Jimmy Graham. His white friend probably never thought much about the Rebel flag. It was just something that a white boy in the south might have as a room decoration and while he was undoubtably aware that it had been the flag of the Confederacy he never thought of what the symbolism meant to black people until Watson told him.

I went to Robert E. Lee High School. Our sports teams were the Rebels and there were plenty of Rebel flags at games. We even sang Dixie at assemblies. I never thought about it at all at the time. The Rebel flag didn't really mean anything to me. It was just there. It still doesn't mean anything to me. If some people get a kick out of flying it that's their perogative. Some people call it a symbol of slavery but the vast majority of white southerners in the 1700-1863 era were not slave owners. Only the wealthy.
So now the vast majority of us decendents of white southerners are not the decendents of slave owners.

BUT! The great majority of black people in the United States in that time period were slaves who themselves of their dads, mothers, grandparents, ect. were captured and brought to America and put on auction and forced to work in the cotton fields. It would follow that the vast majority of the black people in this country today are decendents of those slaves. Understandably, they see the Rebel flag as a symbol of oppression of their race. While I am against doing anything just for the sake of political correctness, this issue goes beyond that. For the state of South Carolina to fly the Rebel flag in the wake of the murders of the 9 churchgoing black people is incredibly insensitive,

You can't stop individuals from flying a flag at their houses or putting a bumper sticker on their cars but out of respect for a large percentage of our citizens who do find the Rebel flag offensive it should be removed from all governmental functions and buildings, whether state or municipal. It's just the right thing to do.

South Carolina Lawmaker: Charleston Shooting Victims 'Waited Their Turn To Be Shot'

South Carolina state Rep. Bill Chumley (R) told CNN he thinks the nine victims of a shooting in a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina, "waited their turn to be shot."

Chumley was defending the use of the Confederate flag at the South Carolina capitol grounds when he made the remarks, blaming "misuse and miseducation of the flag" for the debate over its use. Chumley argued access to guns, not the Confederate flag, is what South Carolina lawmakers should be focusing on in the aftermath of the massacre.

"These people sat in there and waited their turn to be shot," Chumley said. "That's sad. Somebody in there with a means of self-defense could've stopped this."

So now they want guns in church? Wow..... That's great. It's crazy that people think a person with no military training can have their wits about them enough to get taken by surprise, pull their gun and stop someone. The amount of time it would take to pull that weapon, un safety it, pull back the slide and then fire, bystanders would be shot and it really would make the situation worse. Now a trained weapons expert might be able to do some good, but that's about it.

Many people who carry are big advocates of carrying loaded, so, no racking. Glocks don't have safeties.

I do agree about the muscle memory. Was explaining to my wife and daughters yesterday as we were leaving Academy. I'd bought a speed loader for my 357 GP 100. One of my daughters sincerely asked why I needed more than 6 shots. I tried to explain, as best I could, about the physical changes a person's body undergoes during a traumatic event and it's not NEARLY as easy as pulling the trigger. Also told her it's why you see people empty a magazine after a perp is down.

Having said that, there are MANY stories about lay people foiling a crime while they were carrying concealed.
