In all honesty it's still really too early to tell; however, I know if it were us looking at any other conference we'd dam sure be saying it about them.
41-13 now. Vols getting curbstomped in Knoxville by a Pac-10 team. Stop this before somebody gets killed, seriously. Other than Alabama, EVERYONE in the SEC is looking eminently beatable. And you know once the Tide get into conference play, some chinks in the armor will be exposed. Too early to say "down year" or "we're no longer the best conference" but early returns are not good.
It got a little less early this weekend... I don't think the SEC is in decline (WAY too much talent in the conference). But this may be the second year in a row that there's really only 2 legitimate Top 10 teams in the SEC. And at this point, I'm not really certain who the second one is. Florida has the same problem LSU has - QB... SEC has been so dominant recently, I just am surprised to not see 3 or 4 names in the Top 10...
