    Another thing that really pisses me off. Why did this jackass wait until after the NFL draft to announce the suspensions? I'm telling you, he is going to do everything he can to stick it to the Saints because he feels that he was lied to. This dude has a bigger ego than anyone I have ever seen. Unreal.

    I felt like that at one point too, LaSalle, but upon further review, I disagree. I don't think the possible losses were ever going to figure into the Saints' draft plans. Unless someone had been thrown out of the NFL, the suspensions were a temporary problem. Why invest a draft pick to fill a hole you know you're only going to have for a few games? I think they knew Vilma was going to be the hardest hit, and they addressed his loss in free agency. He's running out of time anyway because of his knees, so his position warranted a targeted replacement.

    Smith has appealed, btw, as have Fujita and Hargrove.
