people are suspended from their jobs all the time pending the results of a trial or investigation.

i know its not the same thing, but cops or teachers are suspended (generally with pay) when charged with wrong doing. point is, it's not exactly a new idea.

No I'm saying Mike Vick is an at will employee of Arthur Blank. Blank can suspend, fire, or trade Vick anytime he wants. The NFL collective bargaining agreement gives players alot more grounds of appeal than most at will employees have, but Vick lost those rights by violating the NFL code of conduct.

Yes, because the NBA has such a great reputation the NFL should try and emulate it.

    A small excerpt from profootball.com.

Suspension......hell......he's looking at prison time and banishment from the NFL altogether.

Speculation about Vick looking for a plea deal since all his boys turned on him.

Just heard on Sirius that a deal, if its made, will include at least 1 year in prison for Vick. They also speculated a possible lifetime ban for Vick because of the gambling aspect of the case.

The NFL should have waited until his conviction, but following his conviction he should have been kicked out of football. This is sick.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked gisclair. Why should the NFL have waited until his conviction?

Well, if anything the conviction will buy the NFL time. If he goes to jail for a couple years, then a decision doesn't have to be made until 2 years from now.
