Re: LSU Baseball vs. UC Irvine - BR Super Regional, Game 2 i can't tell if this is a poor attempt at sarcasm or if you really felt he was out?? today, i would suggest actually watching the game, it may improve the quality of your posts.
You don't get off the bag until the pitcher is on the rubber. The pitcher can't address the rubber without having possession of the ball. Bad baserunning, E-C (Error on the coach). Some of you people sound like big babies. Most objective fans don't have such a hard time seeing LSU losing, in fact, many called it. We should be okay in the series though but still not a gimme.
I thought college was like high school where no umpire has more authority or "Power" than another. An umpire cannot overrule another unless an appeal is asked for and the umpire whose call is in question, grants a "Second opinion". In essence, says, "Yes, you can ask the other blue".
It was very relevant where the home plate ump was looking. Had he been looking at second base, then he would have seen the position of the second base ump. Thus, he would have been able to overrule the call.
I hear you and understand it's hard to do but it can be done. Speak for yourself, I have the whole SEC to look out for. :hihi:
A 14-year-old might imagine that Photohop could be used to edit live TV video. :insane: Uhh, the LSU team was in it's dugout jumping up and down in outrage. The only LSU players on the field were frozen on base or at bat where they were supposed to be. What were they supposed to do? Run off the field, too? This is an old baseball trick and playoff umps are supposed to be good enough to recognize it.
See post # 52. More relevant is that the baserunner was looking at where the pitcher was...perhaps the coach should have been looking too.
