Re: LSU Baseball vs. UC Irvine - BR Super Regional, Game 2 Hey wouldayouknow? A photoshop that looks exactly like my DVR recording!? Imbecile.
you're right. the time arguement is bogus. totally bogus. I don't believe in true "replay" for baseball. I just think there should be a guy in the box watching every replay and when he sees something done wrong, he trumps all. 100 slow motions looks overrule one look. In football, everything is subjective. He might have held here, or it might have been interference there. But in baseball, he is either safe or he is out. The ball either hit the foul line or it didn't. I think they could come close to getting them all right if they tried hard enough.
Hey Sabanfan, don't have him killed and dumped in the River, kill him and bring his body to Mississippi and we will feed it to my grandpuppy, that way there is no evidence. I agree I hope you are right. They did play a great game, and you never know what could have happened. The bottom line for me is, I am still a Tiger fan, and I am still proud of the baseball team, no matter what they do today. I am not or never have been a bandwagon fan. I have always loved the Tigers, win or lose. And I always wear my colors, even after a loss, I am not ashamed of the Tigers. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
It was a horrible call because a) it wasn't even close; and b) the crew wasn't even watching the play yet still made the call... This isn't about a strike/ball call or a close slide into second base. This is inexcusable and some penalty should follow for David Rogers (aka...Mr. head up his ass) College and pro athletes are getting stronger and faster, facilities are getting better, and technology is improving daily. Unfortunately many officials are still little old short fat men who are half blind and have bad attitudes. I'm sure be a ref is a difficult job but I think we need significant upgrading throughout sports. Expecting a 70 year old man to chase NFL players 50 yards down the field to make a call is crazy. I like instant replay but it still has problems as well. At least twice in the NBA playoffs they reviewed plays to see if shots were taken before the buzzer. Unfortunately on both occasions they ruled the shot WAS taken before the buzzer but could take NO action when they realized that the clock had not started on time.
Re: LSU Baseball vs. UC Irvine - BR Super Regional, Game 2  I hate your team but I like your style you should stick around for a while regardless of the outcome of this series :thumb:
The call sucked and you never know what might have happened in that inning. But, the call by itself did not cost us the game. Our pitching was not as strong yesterday as it has been lately. The UCI starter pitched a good game, our starter struggled and let them get ahead (walked the first two batters). We make a pitching change and again walk the first two batters. Now the Tigers don’t have to play to keep the streak going, just win to get to Omaha. I think today will be different. I think the Tigers will be back. ldskule:
Re: LSU Baseball vs. UC Irvine - BR Super Regional, Game 2 You should really watch the game before making such a moronic post.
Well if the umps admitted to CPM and it was the 2nd basemans acting that got the out called, then the 2nd baseman should get a high and tight the first time he comes up today!
