Not to mention that a lot of HC's will get tossed on purpose just to rally their guys. Coach doesn't seem to like that option and allows his assistants to get tossed for him. Can't say I blame him. We need the HC on the field where he can contribute. Plus I believe that this team can motivate themselves without Coach being a martyr. They handled this call the only way they could. Initial calls can be reversed...just ask UNO....but if it isn't, it doesn't do the coach any good to keep bitching about it after the fact. He made his point and moved on. After the game, he commited on it, and moved on. What else would you have him do John?
Even the TV announcers had our back when it came to this. Seriously, it was a pretty bad incident for NCAA baseball. Look, I hate people that whine about calls by officials, trust me, I feel you on that... but this really was pretty outrageous, and I'm one of the very few that doesn't even think that the refs in the Auburn game were as big of a factor as the majority makes them out to be.
Video: Landry's catch and "The Call" Hats off to UC Irvine, they played a great game. I don’t know what would have happened in the long run, but it just burns thinking about what could have been and how the momentum was snatched by a bad call :/

I have zero problem with the actions of our coaches. The better question would be what would I have the NCAA do... erase this whole game and start the whole series over because of the shocking call? Of course not (although I do think that call will be part of the strong evidence in favor that they move to replay review next season).

A prefer to take the low road on this one and hope David Rogers, the 2nd Base Pathetic Ump, developes a bad case of the flu and misses the next two games at the Box. I think the Tigers will do well without David on the field. :geaux:
but but but that would take too much time. (refer to times when they let cpm and others argue for 2 hours even though its not going to change) personally i like it for just hr's, but i hate the time argument when they allow so much bs to go on anyways.
