    Sharing and loaning are synonymous.

I've paid for every book that I own. Someone has paid for every book that I have borrowed.

There are centuries worth of literature that is in the public domain. You can duplicate Moby Dick until the cows come home. But recent authors enjoy copyright protection for 28 to 70 years.

But just like books, you aren't permitted to reprint and distribute them.

when you loan a book to your friends, and your friend no longer needs to purchase the book, and this robs the money from the author, red magically doesnt notice and abandons his argument that writers deserve to be paid by the people consuming their products.

Your ignorance of copyright law and fair use is not my problem. Go look it up.

Here is a tip for anyone who doesn't download off of limewire or any torrent sites. Get a real player downloader, go to you tube, download a video, then convert the video to an mp3. Free music, you won't get caught, and in fact I have heard nothing about this tactic yet. It's all been about big sites like Megaupload, or Pirate Bay.

I'll set up a playlist of music videos that runs in the background of my computer a lot of times. But a lot of YouTube videos are ad supported I believe so it's all good.
