    Goodbye freedom........

    How SOPA/PIPA Can Affect You

I'm glad google and wikipedia are blacking out. This is an outrageous bill, and is an attempt to regulate the last place on Earth that is free from tyranny, the internet.

I agree. One of the worst pieces of legislation ever. This is what happens when idiots in power start trying to regulate things they don't understand. It's not a dem or rep issue either. It's a bipartisan failure all around.

No, the bill goes too far and its failing is that it was written by bureaucrats with no input from internet technologists.

The US, media corporations, and creative talent is losing billions of dollars from online piracy and something must be done about it. Pirate sites must be shut down an prosecuted.

But this bill holds search engines and reference sites like wikipedia responsible for what turns up on their searches and user-contributed material. That is a slippery slope and a bottomless pit all in one.

There is no such thing as pirate sites. Next you are gonna tell me I can't let my friend make a copy of the cd I just bought. This bill is garbage.
