They probably also dislike us because our current coach kicked their current coach's ass 2/3 times he played them. Remember, they despise OSU.

Yeah my inlaws are all OU alumni and they can't stand Les Miles. No surprises there. Always have something to say to me about Les or the team all the time, but most of the time the arguments are not even close to being rational. Like I said previously, there's a sense of entitlement because they were good 20 or 30 years ago, whenever the hell it was.

Sorry folks, you can't tell me that the SEC sucks since we've won THE LAST FIVE national championships.

Oh and Oklahoma stayed in the Big12 ONLY because Texas decided to stay. What's that say?

oh oh! and dont forget, the accepted universal hand signal of a sooner fan is the upside down "hook em horns".

and how many vehicles do you see with the short horns logo on upside down?

its some sort of penis envy obsession with texas. :hihi:

LMAO...Yep, do they not realize that everytime they buy a longhorn plate that that money goes to the University of Texas? I'd much rather show support to MY team than spend my money on someone else's. Just sayin.

    This gets better.

My IT lead at the base is a big gooner fan and he knows that I'm a Tiger through and through. So we got to talking the other day and he says "Looks like we will both have really good teams again next year, maybe we meet up again for another NC".

My response was "God I hope not" I couldn't stand to have my truck vandalized again after kicking yalls ass yet again. Good natured ribbing and all in fun but blah blah.

So he begins to tell me about his experience at the Sugar Bowl for the 03 NC game and how "horrible" it was. How the LSU fan base is the worst he has ever witnessed and as okie pointed out, "they yelled Tiger Bait at me and they were serious". So I dropped this gem on him. I said Kevin, (cause that is his name, Kevin) just stop right there. My brother and sister in law are two of the most rabid gooner fans I know. They love their team just like any fan should. I went with them to the OU/Tx game a few months ago and while I love them dearly I will NEVER go with them again. It was the most obnoxious display of how a fan should act and I was actually ashamed. Depending on how long you have been on this board and if you pay attention to any of my post that is quite a feat. I actually had to child lock the doors and windows on the truck to keep them from getting us into a fight and that was BEFORE THE GAME EVEN STARTED. You can imagine what it was like after they won. Let me add that these are not idiot hicks from some wood pile, they are both well educated and both PA's that make $$ that I can only dream about yet they still act like morons and do the EXACT same type of stuff they "claim" happened to them at ONE LSU game.

I don't have any ill feelings toward the OU program, infact I like them and have since Billy Simms was packing a football for them. It is just sad that they have such bad opinion of how we treat fans of other teams. I even challenged him (kevin) and said, look here bruh, I can pull up a forum site right now and show you countless post from fans of opposing teams that claim they had the best experience of their life at Tiger Stadium so I don't want to hear that sh!t anymore out of you.

    He let it be.

I don't care if they like us as long as they respect us. We had the better team and won in 03. The refs didn't give us the game because of home field like some say. It goes to show what type of fans they are that can't accept that their team lost that day. They disrespect the effort their team put out by their attempts to trash the fan base of every team that beats them. They themselves do the same thing to Texas and OSU that they cry about being done to them. Hypocrites.

Yep. Everyone can make excuses about losing games, especially national championship games. But there's no excuse for having "the greatest offense college football has ever seen" (according to ESPN) and losing to a top notch SEC defense. If you remember, that season OU was averaging something like 500 yards of total offense a game, until they played LSU, who held them to under 200 for the game. The game was not near as close as the score.

Just another one of the OU heisman winners who was beaten in a bowl game and never recovered afterwards. The savior quarterback. :hihi:

Now one thing I've noticed since I got out of the Air Force is the fact that there's a lot more OU hats and shirts than before I left. Hardly saw any before Stoops won the title in 2000, now they're everywhere. Bandwagon? Yep.

IMO OU is still one of the upper tier programs in the country, but for their fans to call out ours calling us the worst fans they've ever seen is straight up hipocracy. I've been to 3 games in Norman, and an OU/UT game in Dallas, and they're like any other "fans", some good, some not so much. This is what you get when you mix sports with tiny brains.
