It seems every time a school loses a big game or it's popular coach leaves for another school the Internet discussion board for that school shuts down to only it's members. Does the tigerforums.com do the same thing? The Sooner board is claiming this is due to larger server load. I'm guessing they are pissed and don't want anyone other then their members having access for a few days. Any thoughts on this?
Man....the Notre Dame and Miami discussion boards must have been down for about a year now :hihi: Anybody check to see if they are still alive???
They do it because the server can't handle that many people at once. Its not they're ashamed of losing (which I'm sure they are) it's just that they don't want their servers to shut down.
Yes, in fact we made the forum viewable to only registered members not too long ago, during a period of high server load.
Well, I suppose you are right. Technically it happened within a few months of you joining. Technically it was during a time in which you were making lots of posts. Technically, I believe we may be onto something here!
It was the days following the SECCG when LSU found out it was in the BCSNCG. I think server load probably had a little to do with the technical problems..
