Sometimes Miles looks lost or asleep.

I have always been a Miles defender. This game made me wonder why. I don't know what it is, he simply seems out of it. The camera will sometimes catch him in a blank stare, SOMEthing will happen, and he sort of wakes up. Then he goes back into the stare after that. At times, he is simply not engaged. I'm not calling for his head. I'm just stating an observation I have noticed for the past couple of years. By the way, I didn't see it the first or second season. Just wondering if anyone else notices this. Miles...on sideline..., a big play or whistle or penalty and it's.... Callin it like I see it.

The cameras showed Miles on the sideline? With such a Tebow/CUM lovefest going on at CBS, even my wife - who never watches football - commented that they never showed the LSU coaches, only Florida's.

More to the point, if you are judging a coach by something as tangential as what you perceive to be what is going on in his mind from a fleeting shot of a sideline camera instead of his record, recruiting, player development, program integrity, etc, then maybe you should switch sports and start following girl's field hockey or something.

And, if you can't discern a point, don't comment on what you read. I'm not judging the entire program. I am simply wondering about just how engaged our head coach is at times. What I described, I have seen, and it seems to fit...or have YOU not paid attention. :thumb:

Or maybe Herb has a sense of perspective and doesn't want to judge someone's emotional intensity based on a handful of split-second shots on the tv, something YOU might want to consider :thumb: .

Good grief. You seem very emotional yourself. Presumptuous yet again. I am NOT judging everything based on this. But...it IS part of a pattern. Thanks for the useless point...Blah blah blah.

LOL. Myself? I didn't claim anyone was being emotional. Or acting like a zombie. I just pointed out...based on your words...why I thought Herb was the one on the right side of this 'argument'. And I stick by that, because I think Herb is very being reasonable in his logic...in fact, I'll bet if Herb responds, he'll do so in a fairly reasonable manner instead of throwing verbal poo at the person who disagrees with him. People on this board tend to listen to posters who back up their points with more points, not with insults. :thumb:

    Also,.

So if you're not basing this on the camera/sidelines, what are you basing it on? Are you in the locker room with the team? In team meetings? Dissecting film? Please share. We're all ears.

Edited slightly because I obviously can't read quite well enough. I stand by the rest of my post though.
