As it is, Bama and UF are the top teams in the SEC. After that it can be anyone, however, our D has stepped up, and Big time. Our D alone can give LSU a 10-2 record. Something to be proud of. Bama's D is just as good as UF's. I think the thing that hurts most LSU fans most is after the UF game, we actually saw where LSU could have won with a DECENT O. Yea, I am disapointed, but I have to be bright. I am not gonna say " I'm done with LSU" or call out JJ or anyone else. In the end, it's out of our hands and in CLM's hands. I do hope he corrects this though, b/c I feel he wont last to much longer in BR if he keeps this show up. I understand both sides from the fans. CLM is getting paid Mil's for Championships, simple. Or to atleast COMPETE. The only thing that competed Saturday night was the D and the players. It seemed CLM just wanted to survive. Either way, look to the bright side. That is even if CLM makes no changes, our D can get us a 10-2 record.
Don't kid yourself. Bama's D is alot better than FU's; 10-2 is an optimistic goal, but no way we get there without changing the ultra conservative offensive philosophy. Even if you don't want to throw a deep pass, do it once or twice anyway so that the 'threat' of it is there and defenses won't continue stacking the box against us. Who knows, we may even make a play or at the very least, get a P.I, call.
How is saying they are just as good kidding myself? Everything is optimistic isnt it? Something fans usually do. I mean, LSU has the parts, just time to build a team and throw out the bad parts. I guess we find out if CLM is worth the mil's.

Really? I don't know about that. Florida hasn't given up more than 1 TD to anyone this year (everything else was just FGs...and there aren't many of those). Bama has given up multiple TDs in a few games. I think they've only had one common opponent in Kentucky so far and UF only gave up 7 to them. Bama gave up 20. So I think Florida is right with Bama as far as the D goes. Florida is ranked #1 in scoring and total D right now in the SEC, but I think the defenses are pretty comparable. Maybe Arkansas can put some points up on Florida if they're beat up from the LSU game. We'll see... LSU's D played extremely hard and did a really good job. They gave up some rushing yards, but they really brought it whenver Florida got near the red zone. When you give up just 13 against the #1 team at home in Tiger Stadium, you've given the offense enough to pull off the win with some decent success. If we don't make improvements on offense, we'll most likely lose more than just one more even with a really good D. God knows the potential is there for us to improve it. There's not a lack of great talent on the field on offense. But yes, the D is playing so much better than last year. That's very encouraging.
Our D was also on the field for close to 40 minutes of game time so you know how much longer our D was on the field.. Thats just retarded. It means the O stunk it up big time. Our D played well given all the facts, yea some miss q's but still, a good improvement over the UGA game.
