Too much trash talking on defense, even after just making a simple play. Early in the game a Penn State receiver dropped a ball and then Chad Jones went off on him. Jones got down on the ground and was jawing in the guys face. Fast forward to the next couple of drives and their receivers started playing extremely well. Something needs to be done to cut down on this nonsense by the players. I really don't know why they do this so much. On big plays I understand it, but on plays where they didn't do anything extraordinary, no way.
that was the mentality last year and i thought we were past that. last year seems like a simple tackle would have them acting like they just stopped a freight train.
I agree, this also happened last year. We talked a lot of trash then for being an average team. LSU fans deserve players that don't talk so much trash!:hihi:
LOL...the same guy, number 6 I think, caught their first TD maybe three plays later. It's like karma or something, which is why I also hate seeing our guys go overboard. Now, don't get me wrong, attitude plays a big role in football, but there's no reason to go overboard. It always seems to come back to haunt the team that's doing it. Funny, just look at the Florida and Cin game for a perfect example just now.
I agree, I don't care for it in any game, I understand celebrating when a good play has happened but trash talking and acting like you the man should be stoped, I had a coach tell our team in High school "when you make a big play dont act like thats the first time you did it, act like it something you do all the time"
Alem made a tackle early in the game after a 6 yard gain on first down and jumped around like he made a Superbowl saving tackle. I saw LSU defenders on at least 2 occasions today celebrating tackles after they'd just given up a first down on the play. Lack of discipline. That mentality explains why the Tigers had 10 penalties and PSU had 2.
