All Vegas does it set the line where they think they can entice the largest number of people to bet on the game in a way that makes the most money for the house. It could be they are just setting the line on the UW/Stan game the way they are because they think a lot of people are saps who still think UW is a fluke (0-12 last season, "bottom-feeder" of the Pac-10). Or it could be because they think Stanford will actually win (Stanford does have a very, very good RB, for ex). Personally, I stay away from betting on terms set by casinos because they are experts at playing people for profit. As for myself, the way I like to bet is investing in companies on the stock market, because that's not playing by terms set by casinos so it's a lot easier to find companies that will do well over period of time than it is to find a football team that will/won't cover the Vegas line... but sure, the return isn't as high... but it's a lot easier to win. (I'm not talking about day-trading, which is pretty much just as random as betting on the Vegas line for football games)
Game went off at Wash +9 in some places. Funny thing is all the money was on Washington yet the line kept moving their way. The mafiosos knew something about this game.:yelwink2:
34-14 Stanford in the 4th so far... Total Yards Stan--376 UW--291 Stanford's star RB has rushed for 183 on 23 carries so far (8.0 YPC). And there is still 8 minutes left in the game. Locker has thrown two interceptions.
WHY OH WHY did I not take time to read this thread!!!! Not only did I lose $300 on UDub straight up They ****ed up my parlay in which I picked correctly ULM and Troy....I knew I should have pick Iowa to cover my Udub bet incase they lost I would have least won my money back......I got greedy!
I took a bath yesterday (again) in gambling losses. I had Penn State, Ole Miss, UW (Big) My only win was Ala/Ark under. and it was small. I am done for awhile. I am the worst sports wager person in the history of time. I am now 4-19 this year.
