Of every single thing that has taken place beginning with the last 90 seconds of that game on Saturday, this stands out more than anything I've heard yet. According to Miles in his press conference yesterday, he stated he knew at the time there was not enough time on the clock to call for a spiking of the ball. He said he KNEW that at the time. He said that 'someone' had called for it from the press box using the Ole Miss 12th man on the field theory. And here is the kicker..........he didn't find this out until the NEXT DAY ON SUNDAY!?!?!? Are you telling me....with a game that ended at approximately 6pm.....he goes and talks to his team in the locker room......there is still mass confusion every where....they get on the bus to board the plane.....they fly back to Baton Rouge.....he gets in his car and drives home and he STILL DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED?!?!? "Hey dad! What happened at the end of the game?" Miles, "Not sure, maybe I'll find out tomorrow." You've been with your assistants for hours on a trip back from Oxford and you didn't think to ask WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?!?
It didn't matter, nothing after the hail mary mattered, the spike didn't even show up in the box score, because it wasn't part of the game, the game was over.
Who says they were together for the trip back? I know Miles is still in the stadium long after the game is over. He tapes Inside LSU Football on the field and it's clearly long after the game as there are no people left in stadium.
This is what I want help with. There isn't a team bus? A team plane? Everybody goes different directions after the game? If that's the case then, okay. I understand.
I'm not sure that everyone goes in different directions, but like I stated, Miles is there long after the game is over which leads me to believe he departs seperately.
