Some people take their football and the cheering for their alma mater way too seriously. In the "big" picture of life, a game should be a game, with good sportsmanship and no hard feelings. Here's a good model. Just prior to the start of the Air Force-BYU football game, Sept. 22, 2009, this video was broadcast in the BYU stadium in Provo, Utah. Later, the USAF Academy Superintendent, Lt. Gen. Gould, showed this clip to his faculty and staff. He told everyone that BYU ran it minutes before the kickoff at the game. He was clearly moved by it, as were those who watched it. BYU is a class act. YouTube - BYU Video Honoring Football Adversary Air Force
We could play a video honoring all branches of the Armed Forces and then stomp the sh!t out of Alabama. That would work.
that is awesome for AFA, Navy, and Army, (why don't the marines have a college, even though i think there is a Marine Corps University) But Bama doesn't do anything for this nation, so screw em. Unless you count Forrest and Bubba i guess.
Although the Marines are a unique branch of the US military, they are placed under the Department of the Navy. Part of the reason for this is that the Marines are only about 200,000 active duty. Midshipmen at the Naval Acdemy can commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the Marine Corp after graduation. Marine Corp Univ is more of a specialized academic school for Marines to study specific job related functions. I am not in favor of doing anything special for Bama.
My idea for the Bama game is for the Tigers to play 60 minutes of hard-hitting, slobber knockin' football. And for Bama to play 59.
Now see........................I'm not the only one that sometimes does NOT see the sarcasm in SabanFan's posts. And I still think he should change his frickin moniker. View attachment 13181 ...........just funnin ya
