The link is in post #12 also. She just left our the /visit/ http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/michaelvconger
Ya know what Khounba, I stand corrected, but I digress. I didn't need to see or read any of this to know the quality of these young men. Anyone who thinks anything else is full of S***! Are there a few with some problems, yes, but for the most part they epitimize what LSU has always been..."Class" People I know personally, who survived Katrina, saw Tiger football players helping with the cleanup around their neighborhood. And I didn't make that one up, nor did I need to get it off the net!!! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Quite a heart warming post. I just chatted with a co-worker of mine who works for the team as well. Independantly even before seeing the post, she thinks Ciron is a good kid, as are quite a few of the players on this team. It also is heart warming to see quite a few nice posts in this thread from several classy posters in this Tigerforums thread!:thumb:
From the kids website THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2007 03:47 PM, CST Ciron Black's December 16 guest book entry has been deleted by the author of this site to protect Ciron's privacy. The family is eternally grateful to Ciron for his generous and personal offer of encouragement to Michael. Neither they nor Ciron sought publicity from his gesture, but they were overwhelmed by the flood of support from tiger fans all over the country. This outpouring is considered to be the Grace of God at work in the hearts and minds of the faithful, and we are all humbled by it. R. Patience John, Kirk Herbstreit is on it!   May God place his loving hands on Michael and his family.
Well, WAFB just ran a story on it on the 10:00 news. They even played part of a phone call from the mom and Ciron. Quite a story.
FYI....101.5 WYNK has the entire call with Ciron and the boys mother tomorrow afternoon. Michael really wanted to go to the game and it appeared he was going to get to go but he may be too sick. Since he won't be able to go WYNK has already sent a 42 inch plasma tv up to St.Jude so he can watch the Tigers in Style! Great story....great guy
I'm sure ESPN will actually do a story on it...with it getting so much local attn now. For all the gripes I have about ESPN, they really do a great job with stories like this. Hopefully, they'll have another great story...this one about Ciron and Micheal. I know most of you are aware, but for those who aren't, I feel compelled to mention again. We have a poster, JayB, who is suffering from cancer in a hospital in Minneapolis, MN. JayB is receiving wonderful care there, and recently recieved a bone marrow transplant from a wonderful donor. But he is still suffering physically, and also terribly misses LA, Tigerforums, and especially LSU football. I bring this up here because I noticed the link you guys provided as being a "caringbridge" site. JayB also has a Caring Bridge message board, and I strongly encourage each of you to take a little time, register, and geaux leave JayB a message. It's easy to do, and will not cost you a thing...doesn't even take 5 minutes to do. If you're not familiar with his story, see the sticky at the top of the Tiger Den. If you do it, you'll find yourself reading his guestbook...and you'll realize that not only do we have wonderful people PLAYING for the purple and gold, but we have wonderful people on Tigerforums...as many frequent the site and leave JayB messages of encouragement. I doubt we'll ever know how much this means to him and his family.
