:geauxtige I think that what Ciron Black did was extremely touching! He is the type of person that makes me happy to say that I love LSU!!!! Eveyone gets caught up in the emotions of the football season and for him to take time out and email and meet The Conger's is very impressive. I have to say Ciron Black is a hell of a great person! I know The Conger's and I have met Mikey a couple of times. He is a very sweet, strong and brave child who is full of life. If anyone would like to check out the story of Mikey go to Caringbridge.com and where it asks you to visit a caring bridge website you would need to type in : Michaelvconger with no spaces and it will bring you to his site. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers! Along with the Tigers lets cheer for him to have a quick recovery!:LSU231:
JohnLSU had a right to say what he said. And if it wasn't true, how can that be a good thing? It's good to see its true.
http://www.caringbridge.org/michaelvconger. this is the website for the people out there who think this is not a true story! Come on people like someone would make up this stuff! Have a heart! it makes me mad b/c I do know the family and this is a true story!
The question he raised may not be popular (And I would have never thought of questioning it, as he did) but it's not in violation with the user agreement; whereas, name calling is. He's been a pretty solid poster to now and I've never once seen him get disrespectful in debating with others' whose viewpoint was different- even when I tried to razz him. Right on Vegas, and good get Hatcher. People always saying, "Grow up", I refuse to. Being a "Grown-up" sucks and "Grown-ups" are no fun. Maturity (Not to be mistaken for responsibility) is WAY OVERRATED.
Well, if it makes you feel better, I'm usually pretty good about sniffing out a lie. For example, someone brought up the Santa thing. Back when I was a little kid, I realized the whole Santa thing was obviously made up. But sure, even back then, I wasn't a killjoy about it: I kept the truth to myself and never told my parents, siblings, classmates, or friends that I was in on it.
Very touching story, boy do we get caught up in the wrong things in life, that consumes us so much it breaks us. Nothing is more important in life than God, Love and Family. This young man is the example of all of this. Keep your head up definitely, God has a plan for this family and kid. bless them to the fullest. :geaux:
Well, it makes me so proud and restores a lot of faith in mankind when I read and see stories like this and similiar ones about other players like Glenn Dorsey. These men are so big in the eyes of these young kids. Those few minutes of kindness will last a lifetime to this child. Mr. Black's family must be so proud of the person he has turned out to be. I can only hope, I am so fortunate, that my son turns out the same.
While this was a great story, truth is I,m gonna have to agree with John on this one. I too googled this name and came up with nothing. Now, it is entirely possible the blog and or website may be named for something else, I find that hard to believe. This sounds suspiciously like some of those stories my mother in law emails my wife all the time. By the time the story has gotten to her a thousand people have spread it around, not bothering to see if their was any basis in fact. There's no doubt we have some good caring kids on this team, I didn't even need to read this to know it. All that being said, while a wonderful, heartwarming story, I think this one falls into the category of fiction. I just called my brother who lives in Prairieville, and has for almost 20 years. Neither he nor my sister in law have ever heard anything about this. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
