this weekend was upset weekend as evidenced by ole miss, miami, fsu and soon peen state. might even be able to throw washington into that mix too. well on upset weekend we were nearly upset too. but we won and can fight on. perhaps that means we're a stronger team than we thought?
And like someone pointed out earlier, we were 4-0 and 4th in the nation last year (like we're about to be tonight)... maybe now after fighting out some good games, we realise our talent and we start playing up to it.

Realistic is all. Not pessimistic. I think we have the most talented team in the nation, or at least one of. The coaching staff is a big disappointment, and that train is being led by Lester. I need him to get his act together real quick before another forgettable season is upon us. It was a disturbing trend from last year but I wrote it off to the tremendously poor judgement by Les Miles to allow the 2 bozos to take over the defense. But this year it's pointing right squarely at him in how he has handled the offense.
More positive thoughts: We're 4-0 and haven't played anywhere near our best. Sure, we haven't played anyone real strong yet, but lots and lots of highly ranked teams have lost already to unranked teams. We've had 2 bad games so far and managed to win them both (@Wash and @Miss St). If this team improves, starts to click, corrects it's mistakes, WHATEVER, we're going to be something to deal with. I realistically think the defense is on the right track. Lets let the season play out before we crucify anyone. If changes need to be made it will happen.:geaux:
we can't keep hoping for that. and honestly, we are now at the point where improvement isn't going to matter much because the teams we're going to play have already figured themselves out. that's why superstitious thought is the only positive stuff i have going for me right now.
