as others have alluded the determiner will be the overall execution: team, coaching staff, situational, et al....

has clm overcome his penchant for lapses at critical times?

this, for me, is the question

i certainly hope so and hope this season to be a stepping stone to a championship run in '11.

What would CLM have to do for you to feel we have all the coach we need for the next 10 years?

    thanks

I think you are completely full of ****. You even claim Auburn to be better than us. Miles has beaten them 3 straight yrs and beat them so easily last year, the game was almost boring. If this wasn't such a stupid assertion, I might give you credit for whining about bama and florida. But it is, so I won't.

Everybody expects more from Miles and from this team. But it is funny that the argument comes down to just the "number of wins". And that is exactly the first thing dismissed when Miles record is pointed out. Then the argument becomes "the trend". And it is dismissed that "the trend" was better last yr, with qb play, defense, wins, and wins in the SEC.

Miles deficiencies are well known, and he may very well coach himself out of a job one day, perhaps even this year. Most "pumpers" would agree with this. However, he may just coach himself in the entirely opposite direction. And most haters can't admit that.

Your argument might work on lesser foes however you cannot use a statement like Saban built a program when miles continues to recruit better. Things weren't as some made it seem. Though the point is not who is the coach now and who was the coach then. People constantly state how poorly coached this team is under miles when nothing he has done is any different than any coach in LSU history, the SEC, or the nation. You can say Saban built a program and that is your opinion, however LSU was a winning program before saban and will continue to be. This state, these fans and our players made saban before us he was a nobody. The name saban will always be tied to LSU. Not us to him.

In the last ten or so years, LSU had two 4 loss seasons - one under Miles and one under Saban. LSU had two 5 loss seasons - one under Miles and one under Saban. LSU had two NC - one under Miles and one under Saban. Miles has averaged 10 wins a season, Saban didn't.

My take on Miles haters is this , they will always be Miles haters. They didn't like the hire and they don't like CLM. They don't get his coaching style and will never give our head coach credit for nothing. It will always be the DC / OC plus the amazing LSU talent. LSU every year has the BEST talent in the nation. Any real coach should win the NC every year with the amazing Talent LSU has every year.

When coach does win it will always be talent. It will never be his control of the team and how his guys play thier butts off for CLM.

it gets old - not so much here but at work- it gets old

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've read Miles and hate in the same sentence this off season. I'd probably give my two weeks notice tomorrow morning.

I would be hard pressed to believe anyone in their right mind truly hates Les the person and/or Les the coach. I don't love or hate Les. I respect him as a person and a representative of LSU and respect him as our head coach. That doesn't mean I don't second guess or question some of his decisions/choices. That's my right as a fan. But at the end of the day, what I say or write doesn't influence one iota our teams performance on the field.

Les knows full well the pressures and expectations of coaching our LSU Tigers. He knows full well that if he doesn't meet the expectations of the LSU administration and the big money donors his future as the LSU head coach will be in jeopardy. Personally, I feel that Les recognizes that he's made some mistakes and hopefully has learned from them. He's also smart enough to know that this seasons results will significantly influence his future at LSU. I'm confident that he will have the Tigers ready to get it on in 32 days.

LET'S GET ON BOARD! IF A CHANGE HAS TO MADE, LETS DEAL WITH IT THEN, BUT IF YOUR A TIGER FAN, THEN GET BEHIND THIS TEAM! THE SEASON'S FIXING TO START! GET BEHIND OUR TEAM AND OUR COACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
