Times Picayune on other Tigers' performances in their 1st preseason game:

Kevin Minter played limited time at inside linebacker for the Cardinals and had a good performance with three tackles.
(Minter's 3 tackles was tied for #6 on the team, the most anybody for either team had was 5...TM7 had 4)

Perhaps the most surprising performance was by Spencer Ware , who ran seven times for 32 yards (4.57 YPC), including a 6-yard touchdown run in Seattle's 31-10 win over San Diego. Ware had a 20-yard run and also caught one pass for 4 yards.
(Ware was his team's 2nd-best runner of the game, behind only fellow rookie Christine Michael, 2nd R pick out of Texas A&M, who ran for 89 yds on 16 carries, 5.6 YPC and a long of 24 yds)

Another LSU running back, Michael Ford , fared well for Chicago in the Bears' 24-17 loss to Carolina. Ford ran six times for 15 yards (2.5 YPC) but had a 4-yard TD run (the only offensive TD by the Bears in the game and Ford's longest run of the game) and caught three passes for 35 yards (11.7 Avg).
(in the game, Ford was the Bears #2 in rushing yds, #2 in receiving yds, and had 25 yds on one kickoff return. ... The only other Bears TD was a pick 6 by fellow rookie LB Jon Bostic, 2nd R pick out of Florida. The only other rushing TD in the game was by Panthers rookie RB Kenjon Barner of Oregon, who was the Panthers' #1 rusher with 37 yds on 9 carries, 4.1 YPC, plus 17 yds on 2 catches, plus 32 yds on 1 kickoff return, 2 yds on 1 punt return, and 1 fumble)

Safety Eric Reid had five (solo) tackles (6 total) in San Francisco's 10-6 loss to Denver.
(only one 49er had more tackles in the game than Reid. Glenn Dorsey had 2 tackles and a pass knocked down....for Denver, Trindon Holliday had all 3 kickoff returns and all 3 punt returns, his longest kickoff return was 44 yds for 85 yds total on kickoff returns, 28.3 avg)

Defensive tackle Bennie Logan stood out in Philadelphia's 31-22 loss to New England. He had five total tackles, four of them solo, and one of them was a sack.
(for the Eagles, Logan was tied #1 with Fletcher with 5 tackles, only one Eagle had more sacks, tied #1 with 1 TFL, and only 2 Eagles had more QB hits. For the Patriots, Ridley had 92 yards rushing, 11.5 YPC, long of 62, 1 TD. RB Blount of Oregon was just as good if not better for the Pats. Together, they accounted for 3 of the 4 Patriot TDs, Brady threw the other to RB S Vereen

Former LSU defensive end Lavar Edwards also picked up a sack among his three tackles in Tennessee's 22-21 loss to Washington.
(Edwards' sack was the only sack of the day for the Titans, only two Titans had more tackles than Edwards, Edwards also had one of the 4 TFL by the Titans and one of the 6 QB hits. Quinn Johnson caught the only Titans receiving TD on one of his two catches. Keiland Williams had 2 carries for the Skins, and Perry Riley had 2 tackles, both solo. The leading RB for the Skins was Evan Royster with 62 yards on 14 carries which was eerily similar to the 65 yards on 17 carries he had vs LSU for Penn State on 1/1/10...which was half of Penn State's 124 yards rushing on LSU that day)

Nice to see our boys representing LSU at the next level from the start.

Thanks for the updates. If anyone has information on guys that are a couple of years out of college and trying to make a roster, I'd be interested in them also. Someone like Terrance Tolliver, who I'm guessing wasn't quite talented enough to make it at the next level.

Impressed by Ridley. Wondering if the opposing team was trying to experiment a little or if the Pats are just gonna be dominating again.
