- Offense wins championships. Even one of the most elite defenses in college football history got gassed by 99 speed plays. You gotta make 340 pound DL's run from sideline to sideline. - Men in motion and then deception are necessary parts of modern offense. Giving a five star defender pause on every play is a neutralizer. Les Miles never understood that. - Quarterbacks and wide receivers are far more important to success than running backs. - Offensive linemen are more important than defensive linemen, and Bama's running game will be much negatively impacted by Cam Robinson's departure. The dynasty is over: they'll lose at least two games next year. - Lamar Jackson can't hold DeShaun Watson's jock, and the latter should have won the Heisman. - Alabama has a serious quarterback problem. Make him pass, and if the talent is equal everywhere else he won't beat you. - I'm very happy we have Aranda over Pruitt. - Clemson's "pick plays" were perfectly legal... and if they're not part of YOUR goal line offense then shame on YOU. Dabo talks and acts like a doofus, but there's some recognition going on under that skull. - If they played 10 times Clemson would beat Bama in 8 or 9 of them. This wasn't a fluke, but a victory by a better team who even overcame two turnovers.
About those "pick plays": Bama fans are saying they lost because of two illegal touchdowns: https://news.tidefans.com/2017/01/1...-loses-a-heartbreaker-on-2-controversial-tds/
What is the legality of pick plays? I admittedly don't get to watch much football and it was the first time I saw them. Friend of mine from FSU says they're hit and miss - some get called, some don't. Notre Dame lost a game to FSU on such a play that was called for OPI.
Did you expect anything different then them crying about no calls on perfectly legal plays? The only time Bama EVER loses, it's because of the officials. Here's my rebuttal. http://www.sbnation.com/2017/1/9/14221614/clemson-alabama-pick-play-pass-interference-rub
Thought he was a senior - didn't the announcer say that for the final play of his career he'd get to do victory formation to win the title?
