I know everyone gets all excited and giddy about "stars" this guy has this many stars.. Here are some interesting facts Jacob Hester - 2 Star Xavier Carter - 5 star (Hmmm, great kid in track but so far nothing on the football field, but I still like the guy) Jessie Daniels - 3 star Chris Jackson - 3 star Justin Vincent - 5 star - Started off like a bat out of hates Blair Irvin - 4 Star My point if you go through the years we are littered with "4 star guys" that are great tigers but hardly All SEC. And we have some 2 stars that have become important parts of the team. However alot of our star players DID have high "ratings" Doucet, etc etc. If they are an LSU tiger that is good enough for me.
now go look at the recruiting ratings for the last 5 years. now look at the top ten 3 years. see any corralation? about 80% of the teams that finish in the top 10 in recruiting end up in the top 10-15 in those years. the top 5 in those recruiting classes are usually usc, texas, lsu, ou. seems to me they been doing pretty good. not trying to be mean but star ratings do mean something 90% of the time. the teams that have recruited the best over that time with the fewest players leaving or getting kicked off so the best.
The "stars" game is serious for some...:hihi: After all, guess who is claiming a, "three in a row?" http://rivals100.rivals.com But then there is... http://florida.scout.com/2/495929.html But wait... http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=15&p=2&c=496052 Clearly, the ultimate hotdogs of each league will try to find a way to out-hype each other.
Well then, let's hope our low rated players turn out great - and our high rated players reach their potential! :thumb:
What is USC's infatuation with 3-peating in everything? Are they so vain that they must claim victory even in losing??? In that one article from above, they are almost claiming stake in Keiland Williams!!! Well, USC, if everything comes in threes.....I feel sorry for the ladies! :hihi:
