I have watched the replay at least a dozen times from 3 different angles. The angle from the LSU dugout, to me, it looks like the catcher is in possession of the ball before the runner gets to here. We're talking milliseconds here so I could still argue that the catcher was in the process of catching/fielding the ball. Summary.....bad call. Heck of a throw from right.
I think she was out. Not only did catcher receive ball in time, she was set up far enough down the line for runner to hook slide and avoid contact. Judgement call though. Better them then us.
