Why are you afraid to discuss them?

    Or not.

I will discuss it all day long or actually when I have the time (can't be here all day). You know that. Name a time when I have backed down from a discussion, fight, or attack on this thread or any thread on the forum. I am still laughing at the time you trying to convince everyone I was a homo because you said I would hit on 2 girls in a hot tub, before you knew I was actually a girl, and I said I wouldn't. Then you said I couldn't read. You backed out of that discussion when you realized I really was a girl.

(btw, Red, to this day still wouldn't "hit" either one of them.)

The reason I won't debate it, or discuss it, as you like to call it is because is it really going to change your point of view? No, it is not.

I just gave you a fine example of justice and you called it vengeance. I said God will judge at the end and you said or not. Again to each its own. So what will discussing this really do? I am not going to change my point of view on my beliefs of God because you want to not believe in Him and I don't think you will either. There is a big thing called FAITH!

Hey, you had a hidden trump card. I use them when I hold them, too.

Is that the only reason you discuss a topic? To change someone's mind? I often do it to better understand the other viewpoint and to refine my own. And occasionally discover a third viewpoint. I don't really care if I change your mind, only that I express my own mind well enough for you to get it.

And people have changed my mind, of course. It starts with a simple effort.

Don't confuse me with martin. I understand faith quite well. I do not mock, jeer, and insult the faithful as the atheist does.

My agnostic issues are with those using faith to condemn science, which is senseless. It is equally senseless to use science to condemn faith.

I also have interest in talking with those folks who misread, misquote, mistranslate, and misinterpret the Bible. We have had some great threads on that.

AGAIN, I GAVE YOU GREAT EXAMPLES OF WHAT HAPPEN IN THE BIBLE AND YOU SPUN IT A DIFFERENT WAY. FEAR GOD (WHICH IS OFTEN USED IN THE BIBLE) FOR EXAMPLE DOESN'T MEAN TO BE TERRIFIED OF HIM. SO BECAUSE YOU THINK I AM MISREADING, MISQUOTING, MISTRANSLATING, OR MISINTERPRETING THE BIBLE THEN YOU MUST BE RIGHT....MAYBE JUST MAYBE YOU ARE THE ONE THAT CAN'T UNDERSTAND IT AND RECEIVE GOD'S WORD. (as seen by the justice/vengeance theory)

I read The Living Bible because it doesn't say things like thy and words from 1493 (yes, I just typed in a year)...2 corinthians 5 will explain why we suffer.

Oh, and as for as science goes... you ask for scientific proof for the existence of God, right? Why? FAITH is not a realm with physical properties. In your mind you perceive that if you can’t see, feel, smell, hear or touch it then it cannot exist. (I can't see, feel, smell, hear, or touch a real dinosaur but I know they once walked the Earth.) Science has found no evidence of God. Has science has never looked? You see, science is not everything. It is not art, or music, or emotion, and it cannot examine faith.

And where was science when they told my best friend she could never have children and yet she is expecting her 3rd child.

    How convenient . . .

When have I asked for that? I merely observe that there isn't any.

I just said that in the last post, only more succinctly.

    Science was golfing with God.

if after 3 days i rose and ascended to heaven it wouldnt really be a sacrifice, would it, i wouldnt really be dead i would be sitting at the right hand of god.

jesus isnt dead, he didnt "die" as you say. death is generally a permanent condition. i woudnt care if i died every day if i just came back to life every time. not really a "sacrifice". more like a nap.
