So you're watching the game with 6 seconds to go in the half

    But they aren't predictions.

    They are what-if scenarios.

Thinking about all of the "what ifs" is about half of the fun of a season.

The only thing better is a W on Saturday.

You see this is the problem everyone says the unthinkable happened, Hell if I was in the pigs situation I would do the same damn thing. Go for the jugular! We have no killer instinct anymore that left with satan. (That last one hurt even me).

Same thoughts and reaction at :06! Mallett's arm could sting us from ANYWHERE on the field. They wanted a win--and they refused to squander even six seconds, while we squandered multiple minutes in plain vanilla/repetitive no gain burps up the middle.

YES! NOT at ALL unthinkable. What does a team have to lose? They played to WIN!

Did anyone see CLM show any animation tonite? He looked rather too calm for my taste, almost like someone swapped his Xanax for Haldol.....

Wrong. Wade Phillips in the Redskins game this year just before half. Play blew up in his face, Wash. scored, and it led to the season the Cowboys are having and Phillips getting fired. Take the knee.

Yeah but that is Wade Phillips and the Cowboys. They had a propensity for such foolishness. This is Mallett and Petrino. They score at every turn, or at least try.

Like I said, I had watched way too many Petrino led teams to know he was not going to simply take a knee in that situation. And when you have a QB like Mallett, I don't question that decision.

Funny to think how something as simple as a punt staying in the field of play bouncing around and being downed by LSU rather than run all the way out of the endzone could impact a game like this.

I think we should have gotten a clue when Petrino was petitioning the refs to put 3 more seconds on the clock right before that play happened. Remember they had it with only 3 seconds left and I remember Petrino seemed to be complaining about something and it had to be the clock issue, and they set it to 6 seconds instead. Hint, hint, LSU.

I was thinking the exact same thing. As soon as they showed him arguing for the time clock correction, I knew they were gonna put the ball down the field. Why in the hell did we not go into a prevent D?

Id love to have a balls out, play to win coach like Petrino. I knew he wasnt gonna just take a knee. How in the hell we didnt have 4 deep like an end of the game hail mary type D was beyond me. Then again, with this staff and the inevitable end of the season collapse its to be expected. Yes the players bombed it big time, but if they were in a proper D the score probably wouldnt have happened. If it did, then I could live with it.

    I agree with you.

He is the type coach who is ALWAYS on top of things, down to the last detail.

He might not have the best players, but he sure as hell gets the most out of what he has.

I don't like him personally (for how he handled things with leaving Louisville and then the Falcons), but I do respect how great a coach he is.
