So who thinks we're actually running Gary Crowton's offense?

Nice post, I agree completely... he can win with experienced seniors... but lacks the ability to develop young talent. His record speaks for itself every stop he's been including LSU, it's blatantly obvious. Only difference is we're slow to recognize it and have kept him around longer than anyone else.

Look at our SEC success the last few years and that alone would send most guys to the unemployment line.

Luckily, Gonzales appears to have that "Coach 'Em Up" gene in him. I thought it was pretty telling how he had to reteach the basics to our WRs in spring ball.

I think he's a keeper, and the writing is on the wall. But that's a sticky situation with a man as loyal as Les. He's going to reach a breaking point if things don't improve though, similar to the aborted Co-DC experiment.

What's sad is it appears he truely loves LSU... why he holds on to liability staffers I have no clue. maybe it's the AD and not Miles... either way it's obvious some changes will have to take place eventually.

No, it wouldn't. We had a disappointing season in '08, as bad as Saban's last season in '04.

Last year, our SEC record improved, as did the play of the team--though our offense was bad, and even so, we came in 2nd to Bama in the West and played on New Year's Day.

Now, I have concerns because while we looked better in some areas for part of the game Saturday night, we reverted in the 2nd half. Last year, we said all of that was because we were playing the first game of the season. However, we never really got much better as the year wore on.

I'm looking for improvement this year, or I, too, will have a really uneasy, dissatisfied feeling about this staff. But has there been anything worthy of firing Miles? No.

A 5-3 record will not get you fired in the SEC, because that's what half the teams end up anyway. And that's just the lucky half.

Do you see Mark Richt, Steve Spurrier or Houston Nutt in the unemployment line?

When the only teams you're beating division wise year in and year out is Miss St and Auburn eventually it won't cut it.

Yeah we'll never beat Arkansas or Ole Miss ever again. Alabama and Auburn are out of the question.

One thing i haven't seen mentioned and if it has, i apologize, but I saw Billy G down there on the sideline jumping up and down, and getting into it. Haven't seen that really since Muschamp left. I thought that was encouraging. I really hope that Miles pulls a Tommy T and fires Crowton in the next few weeks, and gives Billy G the keys.
