No, please. Dig up more. But feel free to put the names next to them. That IS the "he better not see the field" crowd. I just went thru all the posts IN THIS FRIGGIN' THREAD, and I saw only the one "he better not see the field" comment. I said he would be the backup. Fact. I said he threw a shetload of INTs. Fact. Others said he threw a lot of INTs last season and cost us some games. Fact. Everyone save the "crowd" of one stated facts. If facts are mean, tough. They are facts. You actually cannot dredge up more. If you do, you will be misquoting people...and I think more than anything, misUNDERSTANDING people. Nobody wants to see Lee fail, and only one that I can find wants him to never see the field again. Read ALL of the posts and see what you come up with.
No use dragging other folks into it. But they're there. That quote is from page 2 in this thread. There are others. Admittedly, a lot of that crowd is on other boards. TF has a few, but not as many. Anyway - you win. Bama is the team to beat in the West. LSU will surprise some folks and give it a great run, maybe win it. Ole Miss won't have enough around Snead to bring it home. Auburn and Arky aren't there yet. Miss St fans are gonna have a rough year.
Sigh. OK. At the risk of marital bliss, I've given it a couple minutes searching. Here ya go. Link: http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/82562-lsu-not-set-qb-3.html#post914000 Link: http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/82689-sizing-up-sec-quarterback-scenarios.html#post908330 There's two. From two different posters than the last one. And I just randomly picked two threads. Whatever. [/p!ssing contest]
My God man. You picked quotes from different threads...both over 3 months old. Everything I have been talking about was from THIS thread. I am nowhere in those threads to my knowledge. I thought you were talking about THIS thread. I can easily go back to last year and blast some people, but you can't go back to last year and blast ME about this subject. My point was that I wasn't in that crowd...and in THIS thread, there hasn't been any "crowd".
Just think guys, in the face of all the vitriole from a lot of people...not just internet posters, but a majority of guys walking around in LSU hats and T shirts... Jarret Lee did not transfer and is working hard to be a better player and good team mate... and is more than willing to run out there again, if he's needed and called on by CLM. That alone makes him a real Tiger in my book. I bet the team rallies around him this year, when he gets in like they obviously rally around JJ. Coach Miles really does recruit athletes with great character. Jarrett Lee may rank right up there with Russel shepard on the Quality of Character scale. I really think he's going to be an asset to the team this year. I'm really wishing for him to succeed on the field. I hope he makes a bunch of converts out of us. But even if he doesn't play much, he's already shown a lot of courage by returning. Contrast his character with the guy who's responsible for him being thrown to the wolves and for him being in this position in the first place.
Please...pm that to the ONE in THIS THREAD that is anti Lee. (hint...it ain't me) I agree with...and have actually stated everything you just posted myself.
I've been following this thread tonight and I have to admit that...even with the differing opinions and personalities...the tete a tete was pretty respectful and well presented by all parties. I really can't wait for football I'm also more concerned about the new defense than the QB play. Miles drastically improved the coaching it seems. Now we have to see how the players have bought into the new system. We really have a tough schedule next year. Implementing a new system will be challenging with the SEC teams we play.
