I know it is a little early to start this thread, but what key players other then Jasper, Peterson, and K. Sheppard are we losing, and who do we have to fill the shoes?
Drake-Will be hard to replace Tolliver (WR)-Won't be missed to badly, we have a handful of good wide outs. P Peterson- Will be missed greatly but we still have some good corners. Murphy (RB)- Hasn't played to much this season wont be missed to much. K Shep- Big loss, he is a key player in the D, leads the team in tackles. Not sure who is going to fill in for him. Maybe Kevin Minter he will be a sophmore next year. Those are all the big names in my opinion.
Joseph Barksdale and Terrance Tolliver on offense. Maybe Richard Murphy, depending on if he is granted an additional year of eligibility. Lazarious Levington and Jai Eugene on defense. In addition to the guys already listed, I think that's about it.
We are also losing Joe Barksdale which could have more of an immediate impact than losing any of the other guys, believe it or not. Losing Drake will prove to be a loss....and perhaps Shep, but after that there is not really a drop off. We have great depth at almost every position.....and we know exactly where we stand b/c the coaching staff played the hell out of some true freshmen. IMO losing Patrick Peterson is no big deal. Our secondary is going to be sick for a long time. This LSU team is just gettin the party started. :tigereye:
I came up wth 11 Seniors that are playing significant snaps. D-Line: Drake Nevis and Pep Livingston LB: Kelvin Sheppard DB: Peterson and Eugene WR: Tolliver O-Line: Barksdale RB: Murphy K: Jasper P: Helton Special Teams: Graff The rest of this team returns for another run next year.
