We arent going to believe how great a performance this #9 fellow had vs the #4 team in the country. Many of those td throws there was great coverage. He finds the mismatch even when covered and throws the guy open. Those guys were often crazy covered. Vision and instincts like no other with a competitive drive you cannot teach. This is some Drew Brees/Payton Manning amalgamation 10th year level shit. This is an NFL QB toying with the best college has to offer yet wasnt even listed on the draft board a year ago. Has anyone ever gone from unknown to the #1 overall pick in just a few months. And just as an added bonus he can run and is tough as nails. We wont be able to fully appreciate until reality sets in long after his vacancy is imminent. What we are witnessing is a once in a lifetime talent coupled with the mind of an assassin hidden behind a choir boy demeanor. All the while surrounded by a team of all-stars. A team he has groomed in his likeness. 21-27 for 403 and 7 touchdowns. In the first half. We are living in the matrix, yes? These are fictional numbers you put up in video games, if you get lucky. I remember creating this exact dude every season on NCAA Football since forever. Who really believed he would descend from the heavens and change the face of LSU football forever. Let the dream season continue. One more.
Fortunately for us, Joe came to LSU, CEO brought in Joe Brady, the offense exploded into astonishing and uncharacteristic production and the D finally solidified as the season unfolded. I have stated for months that we must enjoy this legendary & historic season for it is the nature of things to ebb & flow; even Saban's near-dynasty hit its brick wall this year--and I am thrilled that it was LSU that administered that particular demolition. OSU was described as CFB's "most complete team" (ad nauseum) yet we saw last night that games must actually be played and coaches must coach. Fantasy Football is just that--fantasy. Coach Eaux has answered all of his critics, he has crafted this magnificent machine and he now points it at Clemson. The "undefeated" Clemson. OK, Clemson is presently undefeated. Bring it! We comin'. GEAUX TIGERS.
TBH, if Brennan is just 60 or 70% as good, that is a DAMN good year for ANY QB lol. Brennan will still have many weapons and I think his heart in sticking around will be huge if he works as hard as Burrow has. It has to help being around that and seeing where Burrow was when he got here to what he has become.
I hate saying things like this because I always think it will jinx us, but I’m happy someone else who’s not a jinx said it better than I could have.
