A little surprised nobody has seemed to take the weather into account. Right now, a cold (cool?) front looks like it'll be hitting the BTR area about game time. Winds are supposed to be coming in from the NNW somewhere between 15-20 mph and there might be some rain around (but, of course, never in the stadium). Winds can have a huge effect on the passing game for both teams and dropping temps and humidity might take away a little of the wet wool blanket advantage the Tigers would be presumed to have over the boys from the Pacific Northwest. That said, Tigers 42 UDub 10 Cowbells 24 TigWaPlains Things 21. Moo U shares the lead in the SEC West standings for a week or so and Stark Vegas responds by partying deep into the night. I mean maybe as late as 10 p.m. Reveille's Bitches 28 Gaytors 24. Yep, the new kids on the SEC block grab the other half of the SEC West standings lead. Teebow cries, Spurrier chuckles and the boys in the milk man costumes celebrate deep into, well, um, y'know. Brokeback College Station. <shudder> I need a shower. Lao hu ("Tigers from the East" or "Mandarin chicken, no veggies"; my Cantonese is a little rusty) 14 Jawja 13. Half the stadium in Columbia chants "We want LSU!" as the clock runs out and the other half chants "We want Bama!" The Hatter and Little Nicky, sensing a minor disturbance in the force, simultaneously glance to the north and mysterious purple and gold and crimson and white lights appear above the stadium. The crowd simply shuts up and slinks home.
I did but not in this thread. I think the weather is going to be huge if it's hot. Those pacific northwest boys (no offense GDF, you're my boy) really can't simulate the satanic weather that louisiana has to offer this time of year.
LSU 31-7, defense got embarassed on a few long plays last week......will defend their ego this week. Offense opens up in the first half but goes into cruise control in the second half after the first touchdown of the second half and we pound them with Hilliard, Blue, Ford, Ware, Hill and Magee for the rest of the game. Oh, yes, and I will be intoxicated.
LSU 31 - 13. I really do not have a great feel for the prediction but still feel good about our D despite the lapses last week. With all of our talent on offense (assuming new O-Line is ok), we should be able to score 30 unless the weather is worse than expected. I don't have a very good feel for the A&M / Florida game either but will be pulling for the Gators (which doesn't happen often). That will be an interesting environment and game.
I keep overlooking your steamy weather, hopefully wjray's weather update holds true and udub catches a break. I'd like Washington to look good for the PAC's sake,.. I don't see that happening though. Sark, who I think is an extra good coach, hired a couple of traitorous Ducks as his D coord and LB coachs. Both are good, but it's too soon and the Husky defense was just too awful last year, I would be amazed if they could even slow your running game. Strike 1 Chris Polk, UW's top notch RB is gone, for 3 years he was a huge part of their offense. Now this year's projected starting RB is out,.. that's a big strike 2 Steve Sarkisian has a big offensive mind, and Keith Price has a lot of experience now, so surprises could happen in the passing game, but I don't think Price matches up well against LSU. . He hasn't been a great passer, especially down field, mostly he's looked for short sideline and dump off passes, he's a pretty fast runner, so he tends to stop looking downfield and runs for it. Strike three, he's out,.. the only question is for how long. c'mon dawgs
Cool for the game is 89 degrees and 30% chance of rain. We will think it perfect UW will still feel like they are in a sauna.
