in just enough so that a split this week (without spencer) and a split next week with UK and UF will leave LSU out going into postseason.
What has happened to mighty Kentucky? Nowhere in sight? Kentucky has been an asset to SEC basketball forever.
Well, the University of Minnesota has been doing OK with Tubby. They really get behind their team up in Minneapolis. Too bad they can't do the same for football, their new stadium is pretty nice. Small, but an incredible view of the Minneapolis skyline from across the Mississippi river. If it weren't for the brutal temps over there during football season I'd love to see a game against tOSU or Michigan or someone.
UK is tied for 1st place in the East with a 7-3 record. There were ranked in the AP Top 25 three weeks ago. They had a slump recently, losing 3 in a row, but they are still on track to make the NCAA tournament for the 18th straight season. They have two of the best players in the NCAA in Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson. We play them at Kentucky on Feb 28. It'll be a big game for LSU.
Not quite as high as I thought we would, but 23/24 for the first time in 2 yrs is pretty strong. Now if we can just keep this ball rolling. Have at least a 5-1 finish to the season, do good in the SEC Tourny, this Basketball season might end up being like last years Basball season. A big surprise and surpassing all expectations.
This is great! It means more press. Congrats to the team! AP Top 25 1. Connecticut (66) 24-1 1,794 2. Oklahoma (4) 25-1 1,709 3. North Carolina (2) 23-2 1,676 4. Pittsburgh 23-2 1,589 5.
