Abortion restrictions pass 85-6 out of Louisiana House

Unless there's only 6 Dems in our house, it's pretty bi-partisan here.

A lot of them also killed the housing bill that doesn't allow discrimination of prospective LGBT tenants. Yeah that doesn't surprise me at all in the South.

I am not a Putin fan and i think Obama is a good guy who has significant accomplishments in his Presidency. But his handling of Putin & Russia is not one of them.

Why should he do anything in the 1st place? Crimea voted. Why doesn't that count? I thought we want the entire world to start voting.....

Ukraine did not get to vote on its own territory. The Crimean election was a fraud that no one recognizes. It was conducted hastily, under intimidation by a foreign occupying army, and there was no option to retain the status quo.

Crimea overwhelmingly supports Russia. Not sure what you are talking about.

    Meaningless point 123
It was a national boundary that was established by treaty and Russia's action was in defiance of international law.
So if Texas overwhelmingly supported becoming part of Mexico you'd be cool with it? After all there are long standing ties and many Texans would like to be part of Mexico.
What does a treaty and international law mean?

SO what is the point of democracy? If a part of the country votes for something they believe in at overwhelming numbers, then isn't that what the system is designed for?

Further, this was once Russian land. Like not that long ago.
