It is very clear to me that Arky had absolutely no offensive plan outside of Tyler Wilson. I think John L might have actually forgotten that they're supposed to field a defense, too.
I was shocked when they hired him, he is clueless. Petrino hurt them with the way he left, but this guy could destroy everything that petrino built in one season. What was the arky brass thinking? I expect news of their new coaching search to start leaking in the next few weeks.
Thinking? The brass knew what they were getting when they hired bp. The search started right after the loss to ULM. They are throwing out feelers, remember, they got Nutt, bp and J.L. The problems are more with the higher ups.
I like what I see so far with the exception of the 2 red zone interceptions, and some touchdowns given up by our defense. Good news is, we are young, again on defense, and Mettenberger is only going to get better. As far as Chavis liking to give up the short underneath stuff, if your defense does that, you have to tackle. If you tackle, you will dominate, if you create turnovers, you will dominate. This is where 7 is missed. But we are only going to get better, especially now getting into SEC play, on the road, at night. This is going to be the biggest test to date for 8. Let's see how the team gels on the road in SEC play.
I agree, and I would add that the defense has really only given up 2 drives. One to UNT and one to Idaho. The other scores came off those two red zone INTs and the Beckham fumble on the kick return.
