82 players saw the field at NTS and similar numbers for UW and Idawho. When did football get 41 positions?

One question and one question only: Did they throw it?

So far this year, LSU has played 75 players in games, of that number, 8 players are Walk-on's and 14 are True Freshmen. FYI

Thanks for the correction. I thought I had seen the 82 figure after NTS,. but the 75 covers it nicely.

Arkansas '12 will give them a run for their money, I think.

While it's only a minor complaint, the number of players that see action is not the same as "playing". For example, if we don't throw it in the 4th qtr, then the backup O-Line is not really getting any practice at pass blocking with somewhat live bullets.

Last year, I was perfectly fine with how we would get conservative when holding leads late in the game. Then, after the Bama debacle, Miles made a statement about how we weren't able to work on the passing game during the season as much as he would've liked since we always had big leads. Not only could JJ have used some add'l reps, but Lee also since he only threw a few passes after the regular season Bama game.

Further, Miles made the odd remark about how Mett would've played against Bama if he didn't have the injury suffered a few days before the BCS game. If that was indeed correct, it would have been beneficial to have Mett with a little more experience throwing the ball during the season. I'm just following the thinking from Miles last year that the same thing should apply to Rivers now.

Welcome, I kind of keep an eye on these things. Last year we played 82 players in games. If you can help, play the position, work Special Teams, you'll play. After this year, the roster will take a hit, we only have 10 Srs., but a bunch of Jrs. could leave after the season. We could also have a Soph. come out.
