    Very weird.

I liked the D at times, but didn't like being bailed out by the D vs this Idaho team...

The 1st half was trash. We really looked like a bag of garbage.

ER got ran over, that was unexpected.

I also don't understand the short underneath shit that Chavis loves to give up. Teams can really take advantage of our speed pass rush. It seems that we should go man when we do this, but my best guess is that with our young secondary, Chavis doesn't have the same trust as last year.

However, as with WVU, the nickle and dime shit usually doesn't last long for teams, but they will get many yards.....

Mett try's to hard, he really does at times. He is a crisp passer but needs to learn to throw it away and kick the FG. I think both his goal line ints are on 3rd downs. Forcing the play.

Though, it was a good second half effort. I applaud them for that.

I also feel that UF and USCe are going to test us both physically on the ground and in the air. Nothing will be as easy as last year, HOWEVER, we are now a dynamic team in both the passing and running, BUT FUCK, we really need to have our WR's catch the fucking ball.......

    Geaux Tigers!

I think if Mett doesn't throw the int, its at least a 17-0 game at the quarter and a very different game the rest of the way. The 10-14 point swing gave them an emotional boost that carried them through the most of the second quarter. But we took the momentum back, and never gave them a reason to feel good about themselves for the last 25 minutes of the game.

I agree, Mett has to be more patient and careful (we haven't even mentioned the TD to Landry, a simple 10 yard out to a wide open WR, and he nearly overthrew it), Shep has to catch better if we are going to target him that often, and the secondary had to press their receivers harder (remember, we've got a true frosh starting and a redshirt at the nickel. That may have something to do with the soft approach). But, bottom line is , we won by 7 touchdowns. We'll be fine.

We cannot play like that in the SEC play.

    We have to get better..

LSU should never have let an opponent like Idaho get any momentum to begin with. I am concerned with these slow starts and inconsistent and uneven early performances. A better opponent will take advantage of this and try to get LSU in an early hole and build up momentum in their favor before they do wake up. And then we will be wondering if they can ramp it up quick enough to win. This is why I cringe when I see LSU get behind in the scoreboard. Some consistency across all 4 quarters of the game would put me at ease.

Sure, but that's still a pretty broad statement. Let's hypothetically apply last night's effort to, say, Florida. We'll assume we don't get two ints. for scores. We'll let them keep the 95-yard int and subsequent gimme TD, and give their offense credit for earning 2 TDs, rather than one as Idaho did. The score is now 49-21, LSU. How many points do you want to take away from the offense?

    Relax.

You are assuming I am up in arms.

I swear, it is like no one can give criticism to this team.

You are right. We need no work and are perfect.

When did I say we were perfect? I've acknowledged the mistakes. I swear, its like no one can feel good about this team.

You are right. We are garbage. :D

OK, reality. This team is still a work in progress; that is obvious. But I just can't see dissecting a 49-point win and coming out at the other end with a verdict of "uh oh."

Then why post? It is the point of this thread to talk about what we "need" to work on. My points are legit criticisms. It's not like I am pulling this shit out of my ass.

Feel free to go make a fapping thread!!!!

You can easily look at the score and say yea, awesome game, but for the first 30 minutes we wouldn't have beaten UF with that team that came out.

I think the young DB's and WR's looked good. My biggest concern is Mett staring down his primaty WRs and not going through his progression. Thats what happened on the int. That will really bite him in the butt when SEC play starts if he doesnt get it fixed.

Yea, he does tend to do this.

I think as he learns were his WR's are, he will know where to check down.
